LEXCEL Accreditation
LEXCEL is the Law Society’s quality mark. LEXCEL is developed specifically for the legal profession. It is an optional, recognised accreditation scheme for law firms who wish to go above and beyond what the regulations require of them.
We first became accredited in 2013 following a rigorous assessment process. We are inspected annually to ensure that the standards are being maintained.
Whilst the LEXCEL standard does help firms to obtain new clients it is the clients themselves that are the main beneficiaries. They can be certain that our practice management standards are excellent which facilitates better conduct of their particulars transaction.
Society Of Trust And Estate Practitioners (STEP)
Our probate and trust directors Dervla Nash and Karen Lucas are both members of STEP. This is an organisation of specialist trust lawyers. In order to obtain accreditation it is necessary to undertake a rigorous period of training and pass examinations. Anyone instructing a STEP qualified trust lawyer can be certain that they are receiving the best possible level of service.
Law Society’s Family Law Panel
Our family law partner Gareth Reynolds has been accredited by the Law Society’s Family Law Panel for several years. In order to obtain this accreditation it is necessary to demonstrate specialisation in this area and to be able to demonstrate competence and experience.
Association Of Contentious Trust And Probate Specialists (ACTAPS)
Dervla Nash has a wealth of experience in dealing with contentious probate work (disputes over wills etc) and has been recognised by membership of this organisation.
Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS)
CQS is a quality mark for conveyancing firms. Membership is obtained by application to the Law Society and firms have to be able to demonstrate that they comply with a number of important requirements. If you instruct a CQS accredited firm you can be confident that the firm is highly capable although levels of service will of course vary between CQS accredited firms as will charges.
