Castle Cary Office re-opening

We are delighted to announce that our Castle Cary Office will be re opening on July 13th 2020.

As a result of the Covid-19 emergency the Office has been closed to the public for several weeks although we have had the telephones diverted to Shepton Mallet and in many respects it has been business as usual.

The Office was founded by Robin Weelen over 40 years ago and he practised there as Robin Weelen & Co for many years before the amalgamation that led to the creation of BGW in the 1990s. It has grown considerably over the years and in 2018 it incorporated the former Glastonbury Office and moved to larger and better premises at the Old Exchange in Church Street.

Robin and his Wife, Liz, are presently isolating to avoid the virus but he expects to return to work in September at which time he will transfer to the Shepton Mallet Office.

Libby Stoodley, who is our head of residential conveyancing, has worked at Shepton Mallet since she qualified nearly 20 years ago. She is presently on maternity leave but we are excited to announce that, when she returns on 13 July she will move to Castle Cary and take over responsibility for running that Office. Libby is very much looking forward to this new challenge. Her intention is to build on the relationships that Robin has established during his time there and use her enthusiasm and energy to take the Office forward.
