We are delighted to announce that Natalie Barker has recently been admitted as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEX).  This follows the successful completion of her final examinations last year and subsequent completion of a 12 month period of qualifying employment.  We congratulate Natalie upon this excellent achievement.

Natalie is based at our Cheddar Office and has a caseload that is predominantly Residential Conveyancing although she also undertakes Wills, Probate and Employment Law. We are receiving excellent feedback from Clients and other professionals who comment upon her relaxed, approachable and calm persona and unfailing attention to detail.

Natalie lives in Cheddar with her Husband, Kai and dog Diesel (who despite the macho name is frightened of his own shadow).  She is a keen motor sports enthusiast and whilst she loves being a lawyer her dream job would be as the new co-presenter of “Top Gear”

Natalie’s colleague at the Cheddar Office, Vicky Scorse, recently completed her final examination and is now a member of CILEX. We will put up a photo of her graduation ceremony as soon as it is available.

Other members of staff who are undergoing training to become members of CILEX are Gemma Wilton at our Castle Cary Office and Hannah Sumption at Shepton Mallet.  They are both doing very well and we will provide updates as they progress.

BATH AND WEST SHOW 2015

Once again the Bath and West Show proved to be thoroughly enjoyable and a great success.

Apart from Friday morning the weather was fairly good throughout. Large numbers of visitors came through the gates and seemed to thoroughly enjoy the various attractions.

Despite the Power of the Past Section that we sponsor having moved to a different part of the site many clients, friends and professional colleagues called in for a chat and a glass of wine.  A large number of passers by also dropped in for a chat and a drink whilst their children or grandchildren had their faces painted by our highly talented staff who were led by our conveyancing partner Libby Rae, abley supported by Conveyancer Michelle Taylor and Trainee Solicitors Paige Prideaux and Lucy Ingram.  We made no charge for this but put out a charity bucket for donations to the children’s charity “Time is Precious”.  Due to the generosity of those who contributed we raised approximately £120  for this very worthy cause. .

Thanks as always to the show organisers and in particular the Power of the Past section for looking after us so well. We are very grateful to all our staff  who manned the stand and most of all to those who stopped at our tent and made the day so enjoyable for us.

We look forward to seeing you all again next year!
